1278: Andorra formed as a principality jointy goverened by the Bishop of Urgell and Count of Foix

1303-1396: Aragonese vassal

1512-1513: Occupied by Spain

1620: King of France becomes co-prince, replacing Count of Foix

1793-1806: Position of French co-prince vacant

1812: Annexed to France as part of Catalonia

1814: Independence restored by Congress of Vienna

1934: Russian adventurer Boris Skossyref named king, rules for two weeks before being deposed by Spain
